Radio dramas are a big part of radio programming in Hong Kong, China and
Taiwan. Stars that you have seen in major motion pictures such as Sammi
Cheng, Sandra Ng, Eason Chan have all "acted" in Radio dramas. What is
unique about radio dramas is that all the audience hears is the actor's
voice. So unlike TV programs or movies, it leaves room for the audience
to create their own images of the characters and settings.
The radio dramas will be broadcasted on 89.9FM reaching listeners in the
tri-state area as well as any part of the world (via real-time online
streaming) By the end of the SOC radio drama production, you'll all have
improved your acting/sound mixing skills, created a radio drama that
you can take with you on CD and play it to all your friends, family,
neighbors... and who knows, maybe even get a few fans.
At the audition, we'll give you a few lines from the drama for you to
"act out." We most likely will try your voice for several different
roles to help decide which role you may be most suitable for. You're
more than welcome to get involved in more than one drama. Note: scripts
are in Chinese =)
If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to contact us. And don't forget to mark the dates for the auditions!
